LOLO MARTÍN
Lolo Martín (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1985) is actor, director and writer.
He’s diplomated in Directing and Producing Cinema, Video and TV for the Politechnical University of Catalonia.
He developes his artistic career in cinema, theatre and TV and is lucky for working together with well-known profesional such as Peter Sellars, Willy Decker, Santiago Segura, Teodor Currentzis, Frank Spano, José Corbacho, Alejo Pérez, José Carlos Plaza, Emilio Aragón or Eduardo Blanco, among much others.
In acting are relevant his Works in the feature films “La máquina de bailar”, “El viaje de Penélope”, in the TV series “SMS”, “Becarios”, “Aída”, “Los Serrano”, “Yo soy Bea”, “Hospital central” and in more of twenty theatre shows as “The beauty and the beast”, “Puss in boots” or “El brazo derecho y el pie izquierdo”.
Internationally he Works in two opera superproductions: “The Indian Queen” (USA-Russia-Spain) and “Death in Venice” (Germany-Spain), he shoots the feature film “Hora menos” (Venezuela), the commercials “Licor 43 Minibeer” (Brasil) and Vodafone Red Village (India) and thw show Reminiscencias (Switzerland).
As stage directors he directs “Miss Julie” by August Strindberg (premiere at Teatro Arenal of Madrid), “Fando and Lis” by Fernando Arrabal (premiere at La Victoria Cultural), “Obama’s coming” (premiere at Teatro Galileo of Madrid) and “Loca Academia de inglés” (premiere at Teatro Tú of Madrid) written by himself, as well as microtheatre pieces “Oh my God!” and “Loco examen de inglés”.
For cinema he writes and directs together with José Da Vimar the sort films “Así es mejor”, writes and directs the documentary “Life goes on”, the institutional videopieces “Voluntarios Ciudad Lineal” for Madrid Town Hall and “Feliz navidad” for Intercentros Ballesol as well as the videoart clip “The warrior”.
He has been nominated as supporting actor in Rome Web Awards for the series “Sayón: The executioner” and his theatre play “Miss Julie” has been nominated in some spanish theatre festivals . In 2009 he won the INPA prose fiction award for his short story “128 azulejos”
